summer withdrawals

I grew up less than 20 minutes from the beach. Let's just say that I didn't know how lucky I was. Sometimes my family would grab a pizza and head out to the beach for the evening...sigh. I miss those days. I love to breathe in the atmosphere of the beach. The sun and sand just ooze with relaxation.

I love...

the sand between my toes...
the texture of the shells...
the sky over the dunes at sunset...
the funny seagulls...
even though they steal your food...
and poop on your head.
I love the palm trees...
going on long bike rides...
the sound of the waves...
and the cute ones you get to be with. :)

Oh the beach! I really am having beach withdrawals this summer. It's already July and we've only been twice! (Still I know that for some of you mid-westerners, twice would be more than you normally get!) I hope I get to take advantage of the beach's beauty while we still live 1 1/2 hours away, because who knows where we'll be in few years! Carpe diem! Seize the day, or in this case the summer!

Are you guys having any summer withdrawals?

so lucky you grew up by the beach! I grew up by the mountains, and love them just as equally well :) we'd take picnics up the mountain and explore! I loved that! I'm trying to get my hubby to take me up north or into some kind of mountains! We would also LOVE the beach, but that's probably not practical. enjoy the time you have :)

I've never been to a beach. I want to go so bad someday! It sounds amazing!
We did go to the river a few weeks ago and I'm having withdrawls from all that fun. Still posting pictures about it. I wish I could go more than once a year!
The pool will just have to do I guess.

Ahh the beach is the most wonderful place.
We just bought a beach pass which means we can go to any beach around here for free! I had never heard of beachs charging anyways, but oh well.
I agree... were definitely going to take advantage of the beach while we live next to it!

Even though our beach is cold, I think I would panic if I lived more than an hour away from the ocean. I just like knowing it's there in case I need to see it on a whim! : )

I lived 5 minutes from the beach for a whole year and went, maybe 5 times. And now I live 2 hours away and wish I could go more. haha
Completely took it for granted.

The beach really is the most magical place!! This is the first year we are not going for as long as I can remember and I am missing it tremendously! Love these photos so much, what great memories!

I wish it was still summer here. We've got lots of beaches here but I didn't get to beach-hop this year. God bless the rest of your summer!

Great photos! What a blessing to grow up by the beach! (minus seagulls aka rats of the coast...and seagull poop..eww!)

I'm definitely having summer withdrawals...my family is going CAMPING this weekend and this is the first year that we aren't going with because we moved down south...and it is so HOT here in MS that we haven't braved going camping on our own. so i'm definitely missing camping in the northwoods of WI!

Wow! What a blessing! I seldom go to the beach (only on vacation really) but I am very blessed to have lakes and rivers! There's a stream by my home that's so peaceful and clear and I love it. My own private beach :)

Oh, oh! I LOVE the beach! Maybe someday I'll get to live closer to one. I am blessed though to be about an hour away from Lake Michigan, which can also be lovely in the summertime.

Girl I can totally relate! I grew up on Long Island and was about 20 minutes from a beach in any direction. Now I'm HOURS from the beach!! I miss just hopping in the car and going to hang at the beach for an hour, now it would be a day trip!
