Trust

My pen filled the page with black words of anxiety. Sometimes it's good to write it all out. I let the heaviness leave my soul as my heart pours out, line after line. I feel rather like a child, pestering her Father with questions.

"Daddy, what about the money?"

"Daddy, how is this supposed to work?"

"Daddy, when will I be ready?"

"Daddy, where are we heading?"

"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy..."

In reply He just says, "Trust Me. I will take care of you."

He asks me to trust Him, and that is all the explanation that comes. I often wonder why I have been led to this place. I am compelled to give more than ever when I have less than ever. My only income is from my photography, and it's just not a whole lot right now. I'd be more than willing to find another job, but He says stay. It doesn't make much sense. Yet, He promises to provide so that His work may be done. He loves the cheerful giver. Though my future is uncertain, I have a hope that endures. I know I am exactly where I am supposed to be. I know I am being prepared for something.

So I can do nothing else but open my hands and let go of all I have. Trust - that's all I'm holding onto.

Trust ... such a powerful word - reliance on the integrity, strength, ability and surety of a person or thing. Having a confident expectation. Love it :)
Lovely to have you link up and inspire us with your beautiful heart.

Beautifully written. And can I ever relate. Times of waiting are so challenging and so exciting all at once. I love the opportunity for trust that they present us with. God is so good and will reveal all in His perfect timing if we but trust. I'm so glad you wrote this; I needed to read it today! Thanks girl!

My mom always tells me....more like reminds me...
When you walk in God's path...he takes care of you...

I guess that means to trust him...:-)

the thing that seems the simplest are in fact the toughest when we actually have to live it out, but you are so wise to see that this is the root of it all, our lack of trust. I mean it is the first thing we are called to do. loved your post girl...

I know things will work out/get easier for you! I just hope sooner than later. You already know things will (:

I feel where you're at. The place where you don't know what to do, where to go, and why He's telling you to just truth Him; it's so hard. I love the last line of the last paragraph; I try to hold true to that as well (:
and plus, you are completely gorgeous. that is all. <3

I struggle with giving God my complete trust. I like to have control of things in my life. This sounds like a time in your life that God is using to strengthen you :)

This is such a beautiful post girl! Trusting is often hard to do, but such a vital lesson that we much embrace and strive off of.

beautiful thoughts, and you expressed your heart so well here. i love that you are staying. i love the quote "don't stay until God says go-Go until God says stay." and if God has told you, whispered to you, to stay here in this place, then it is sacred and holy and you will grow from being within it. praying for you and thinking of you this week:)

love those photos! and love that you found me and live so close!!! what a small world! so, some questions for you: what's your favorite place close by to visit? (my hubs and i are always looking for a new adventure) where are the best places to shop? (from the looks of it, your clothes are adorable and cute fashion in bama doesn't seem easy to come by) did you take photography classes or teach yourself? (your photos are beautiful and i'm happy to know there is a talented photographer so close by, do you have a photo website?)

Man. Trust is one of the hardest things but God is sovereign. Even when we can't remember anything else about God, we have to remember to trust Him!

To my horror, I realized I haven't commented on here in um like forever even though I still blog stalk you and follow your lovely posts and beautiful photography ((which if I haven't said recently––stunning!)) you are so talented I hope you know that!

And so I just had to remedy this lack by posting now!--I know how hard it is to stay still and hear those two terrifying words...Trust Me. So simple and yet so difficult. I'm encouraged by your commitment to do just that. Not run ahead. Or find another way around. But just be. Right where you're at until he says move. That's the best place to be. In the middle of His perfect will for you. Here's hoping I can do the same thing! Thanks for the reminder :)

Girl your eyes are a photographers dream ~ dream I say! :)

Even at the old age of 32 trust can be a hard & scary thing even when you know in your heart you serve a God who wants what's best for you ~ but think what an AWESOME ministry you've been given through this little ol' blog! Bless you sweet girlie! :)
