Through the years...

In honor of the month of love, I am reminiscing on us through the years. I love looking back on all the sweet times we've spent together.

I give you fair warning though. Jonathan looked very different. He had long curly hair! I think we both look better now. His hair is short and I lost some of my baby face look.

Ok, here we go on a trip down memory lane:

Spring of 2008
This was our first picture of "just us." I was leaving to go home for the summer and wasn't sure how things were going to work out. However, we were both pretty infatuated with each other at this point.

August 2008
We are headed home so that Jonathan can meet all of my family, now that he is "the boyfriend."

Fall of 2008
At the fair together and having a good time

Winter 2008-2009

August 2009
In Panama City for my grandparent's 50 wedding anniversary celebration

September 2009

October 7, 2009
My 21st birthday - we got engaged! It was a huge, extremely romantic surprise proposal!

January 2010
This is the day I had been waiting for a very long time! Jonathan picked me up after our family vacation and this is how he looked! I hardly recognized him. I knew he would look so good with short hair.

Valentines Day 2010
Our first one as an engaged couple! I remember that we spend most of the night talking about the future...exciting things were to come!

March 2010
Home for the weekend and doing what we do best - make music.

March 2010

Regarding your 1st Christmas picture together: RIP bottom string of pearls.

Love the chronology! I may have to steal this idea for a home photo album. It's cool to see how we grow and change. :)

Cass - I just laughed really hard. I wore it again today and I am so glad to be rid of that bottom strand. Baby Julia did me a favor!

Ahhhhh I love this post!! So sweet! I've noticed through the years that my husband and I have a lot of similar poses for our photos (arms out self portrait pose, etc) it would be so neat to line them all up like that!
I love your engagement photos too....adorable.
You have a lovely blog! :)

I had a grin from ear to ear after seeing each picture - simply beautiful! I can totally capture both of your personalities just by seeing the photos. I read your about me, and I think it's so awesome how God blessed you with a great man of God, after years of waiting for the "one"! I've never had a boyfriend, or been given flowers or anything like that, and your story really gives me hope/inspires me. I just love it when we allow God to write our love stories. I pray that God blesses your marriage in ABUNDANCE!

By the way, just out curiosity, were you ever nervous about starting a new life as a married woman - as a "wife"? Sometimes I think about how that will be for me, and the thought of it frightens me at times. I feel like I don't want to ever dissapoint my husband to the point where he thinks, "uh, why did I marry her, again? It's a mistake"! Lol, the reason I ask is because you do the 'job' of a wife so gracefully - it's truly admirable!
