I was sitting in a small group Bible Study as a little braceface Middle School kid, more concerned with my undeveloped self than the lesson. Then suddenly Christy, the young college girl teaching the class, said something that pierced through my self-absorbed thoughts of insecurity and rocked my world.
“She does him good, not harm, all the days of her life…” (Proverbs 31:12)

That was a great story. How awesome that you patiently waited for God to bring him along.
A great verse to keep close to our hearts in our relationships.
Love that. The photo, the proverb, the braces, for days like we all have, it is soo comforting to remember what's important. xox!
Love that proverb! Thanks for sharing :)
i love that verse in proverbs :) and that picture of you when you were younger is too cute!
love that verse too. and your blog.
What a great post this was!
Topics like this are difficult for me because of some events that have happened in my past. My life is definitely a lot more messy than yours was in this regard. But I know God can work through anything...
Yeah that is fine girls! I appreciate your kind words of encouragement so much! God definitely gets all the glory for this one. I am a very selfish person, and if it wasn't for Him, I would have gone down a very different path. My parents were instrumental in this area as well. :)
I love Proverbs 31! So inspiring!
This is such a wonderful verse! I meet with different groups of girls every week & would love to encourage them with this! I wish I had a leader in middle/high school that had shared these things with me!
Cory, you are more than welcome to share it! That was my goal in putting it up in the first place...really it all started with Christy....Her name was Christy Tebow (She is Tim Tebow's older sister. This was way before the Tebows became famous though.)...and she married her first love...
