In a perfect world...

Sometimes it is just fun to think about what I might like my perfect world to be...other things might include never having to do the dishes, a house that stays clean, and clothes that wash and dry themselves. haha.

Today I rather wish I was in my perfect world, but I know these little annoying things are important in teaching me discipline. Even in the little things I can strive to please the Lord.

But seriously, I wish I never had to do the dishes...however, I have a sink full and they are begging me to wash them. Off I go...

What would your perfect world consist of (if there was such a thing)?

I hope you all have a blessed Wednesday!

I love the fact that your husband is wearing a Troy University t-shirt. I went to college there. :) In my perfect world, dishes and laundry would wash, dry and put themselves away. And I'd have 3 or 4 money trees in the backyard....ready to be uprooted and replanted wherever we moved next.

In a perfect world laundry could fold and put itself away. You're so right about discipline, learning to be happy with these little tasks that sometimes feel mundane. Beautiful post and I really do want that cottage in the woods!!

I love this! Especially the two backyards part =]

And I do wish my hair wouldn't fade so fast, too! Especially when I put some purple or red in it. It gets expensive!

In a perfect world, I could sit outside and read and picnic with my husband -- on a work day! :) The laundry would never pile up, and dinner would be cooked and ready to go when we got home... Ah, to dream!

Oddly, I have dishes in my sink too...from last night's dinner, that I really need to do right now. bleh.

Ha! Right, my perfect world would look a lot like yours, too ;) Only my hair would stay red red instead of fading to a not as pretty shade.

In a perfect world, I would travel the world, not have to worry about money, I could eat all the desssert I want and would speak perfect Spanish :)

in my perfect world, i would have patience. lots of it. God has been giving me ample opportunity lately to build patience....but i'm failing miserably at it. maybe if my backyard looked alot more like the backyards of your perfect world, i could probably achieve perfect patience ;)

In my perfect world, I would be my goal weight without having to exercise, I'd have a gorgeous log cabin in the woods but magically be super close to the city with lots of things to do, I could be a stay at home mother of four perfectly behaved children, and no one would ever hurt my feelings and I'd never hurt theirs!

Loved this post...i may have to do one of my own :)

Mine perfect world would consist of:
- Brooks growing up MUCH slower
- Adam not have to go to work :)
- living in a magical house (much like yours:)
- owning a plane...and being able to go visit my family in WA whenever we want
- have a fridge dedicated to fresh fruits and veggies...and the freezer dedicated to icecream :)

Oh goodness...that would be the life :)

I know...I love the 2 backyards with the cottage. I'm sure I could come up with more backyards if I thought about it for a second. I'd be nice to never worry about money again too.

OoOoh. I love this post. I would probably have to say my perfect world is one where WORK in NON-EXISTANT. Everyone thinks everyone is equally beautiful as the next. There are beautiful feasts held globally at dinner time and balls and chariots still exist (with the combination of modern technology so we get places fast).

There would be beautiful and scenic routes all around. The earth would never tremble or shake. She would be a tame and loving woman. It would always be a perfect 85 degree day and a 68 degree night.

Doors would not exist on the homes we live in. Families would never grow distant or apart.
Pink would be an option in every dress and shirt made :).

haha...
I am so creative I can go on for days.

I love this post.

My perfect would would seriously just consist of everyone being kind and patient. I think If I was perfectly kind and patient and everyone around me was too, I wouldn't mind doing the dishes or working hard for my money.

I love the white dress you are wearing in your picnic....:-)

This is so cute.

Top 2 things?
1. I'd have two hours to read every day.
2. I'd somehow be able to be a stay at home mom ALWAYS.

haha I like it :) I think in my perfect world we would be born knowing everything through high-school! Not college though I think that's a good experience to have! But my NUMBER ONE thing that would be in (or I guess out) of my perfect world is mosquitoes. ARGH!!! I just hate 'em! :P

Oh what we could do with a perfect world! But then, I always have to catch myself and think: "if we lived in a perfect world, we wouldn't need perfection" i.e. Jesus.
