~ Thankful ~

Sometimes I my life gets so busy that I forget to stop and enjoy the small things...to be thankful for each day. I have so much to be thankful for today. I thought I would share a few with you all:.
I am thankful for...

Beautiful weather...
It so beautiful outside today! The warm sun kissing my face and the sweet smelling breeze is refreshing.

New things...
God is starting some new things in my heart these days. I am so thankful that some of my waiting time is over and I am seeing God move in my life in very obvious ways. I can't wait to see all that He does!

Coffee...for now...
Ah, the warm heaven-sent liquid is so wonderful in the morning! However, I am weaning myself off of coffee soon, so I will enjoy it while I can!

Leftovers...
Mmm...there are some yummy leftovers in the fridge. I'm thankful that we even have leftovers. We have more food than we need, which is good to remember today.

Our church...
It was a blessing to lead worship for the youth group last night. We serve beside some amazing and godly people. Fellowship with the believers is so precious.

New music...
I've recently started listening to Kristian Stanfill's new CD, Mountains Move, and I can't get enough. This song is my favorite right now:

My husband...
He makes me laugh so much! Albeit, sometimes it is because he is tickling me but I love to laugh with him nonetheless. We are so incredibly silly. He is a good critic. I have been depending on his feedback lately.

Clothes...
It has almost been a month since I've purchased any clothes. You can read more about that here. I am realizing just how much I really have. I am thankful that I have the means to dress well. Lots of people wear rags.

Well, that is all for now. I certainly haven't exhausted all that I am and should be thankful for, but that would be way too long for this little post.

What are you thankful for today?

How lovely it is to see God working in the body. I'm glad he is doing something new in you.

Hm, I'm sooo thankful that tomorrow is the last day of school before Easter Break, and then there are only 4 more weeks of school before summer!

Love this! I am thankful for our church too-- they are looking to buy HUGE land to pass on to our future generations ... really exciting. :)

Thank you for the continual inspiration!

Love this. I'm thankful for my husband and my baby, Jude. I'm thankful that God has provided for us so I can stay at home with Jude for a while. I'm thankful for having my family live in the same city as me. I'm thankful for a lot!

Good luck with the weening off of coffee!

Amen about being thankful for clothes. Before I got married I spent SO much money on clothes - it seemed I always had something new to wear. I will have you know, I have been married for one year now and have only spent 40 DOLLARS on clothes... ummm ridiculous right? My husband is the most frugal person I know, so I've definitely learned a lot from him haha... but I surely am so grateful I stocked up before I got married... because my clothes have lasted me this entire year! :) But my husband is starting to pity me and keeps telling me to spoil myself and go on a shopping trip. Haha, so wonderful! :) Lol

By the way, totally stocked your blog just now - you are absolutely gorgeous, and your wedding was stunning! :) Your 1 year is coming up soon enough! :)

I am grateful for all the small things around me, the sunny weather and people I love :) YOU MUST BE PROUD about your project involving not buying new clothes; many times we buy more than we need and it's not good this materialistic behaviour because in our world a lot of people don't have nothing and then, we have also to respect our planet and limit our consumptions. We have to protect our people and our planet and your way to act is fantastic.

ps. I hope that my English is clear ;)

I have never heard of Kristian Stanfill before, but I LOVE that worship song you posted! I am now going to buy one of his cd's! Thank you for sharing him!

Also,
my small group was just talking about this subject the other day and how we take everything for granted because we literally deserve none of this.
We especially were talking about how we need to be thankful for our jobs and money from our jobs and the ability to perform our duties and get paid to do so. We usually think we deserve more money, but in reality that money is not really ours to begin with and just being so truly thankful to God for providing us with what we have really changes your outlook on things.

Sweetie sweetie, wean yourself off of buying clothes, wean yourself off of wearing shoes but do not possibly allow yourself to be weaned from the heaven sent liquid that we call coffee. Why!!? WHY??

I'm thankful for you, did you see that coming? But it's true, I really am. Loving getting to know you more through little emails, comments, posts and everything in between. You're a pretty neat woman. :)

Yeah, Kristian Stanfill is really good. He leads worship for the PASSION conferences now.

We do take so much for granted...I'd never thought about "thinking we deserve money" but we definitly don't! We don't deserve anything! It makes me so thankful for God's grace!

Haha. My hubby and I are trying to cut back on all the money we spend on food and drinks we don't need. He gave up his beloved Green Tea...so I had to match it.

I love getting to know you too! Blogging, I suppose, is another thing I am thankful for and all the amazing people I have met in doing so.

What a sweet post. A month without any purchases- I know you don't know me from jane doe, but I am proud of you. I know it isn't an easy thing to do, and you really are going to make a difference, and I'm sure are inspiring others to be more careful and thoughtful where their money is being spent.

Jennifer, I am so thankful that you commented on my post about Perfection--so that I could discover your blog! :) Your love story is almost a mirror of mine--what a blessing it is to have the Lord answer our prayers so fully. Amen. (I actually shared our story during Valentine's week. The first post sounds very similar to your "story" post. http://www.kevinandmel.com/2011/02/one-with-our-love-story-part-1.html)

Thanks again and I look forward to becoming friends!

Blessings!
