Too fast or too slow

Oh! do not attack me with your watch. A watch is always too fast or too slow. I cannot be dictated to by a watch. - Jane Austen
Some days I just wish I didn't have to live by the clock. Today is one of those days. I feel like Father Time has his leash on my collar and is pulling me to and fro against my wishes. I woke up this morning very unmotivated to do anything I'm supposed to. It might possibly be due to the Thanksgiving holiday. (Oh those wonderful off days!) There seems to be SO much I need/want to do and very little time to accomplish it all. Yet, at the same time I feel like my life is passing so slowly. I'm ready to speed things up to the next stage. My little heart frowned at the prospect of doing this same thing for the next 6 + months. Ahhhhh! May I please not be dictated by the time? Pretty please! With a cherry on top?

Tick, tick, tick...

Obviously my pleading does no good. I've had to remind myself today that "This is the day that the LORD has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalms 118:24) My goal should be to serve and please my master, to rejoice in Him...not to be blue about how my watch attacks me.

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Sufficient for the day is its own troubles." (Matthew 6:33-34)

I've been feeling this ALL day. Hopefully, it's just a side effect from Thanksgiving.

I think it really might be a side effect of the food induced coma. :) I hope you had a great thanksgiving!
